Live Entertainment

Lakeside boasts a celebrated history of famed musicians, renowned politicians and other historical prominent figures, who have graced the stage of the historic Hoover Auditorium.  The likes of Eleanor Roosevelt, Amelia Earhart, Ray Charles and Pat Boone, among others have enlightened and entertained crowds in the 2,600-seat auditorium.

A wide variety of arts programs are offered nightly at 8:15 pm in Hoover Auditorium.  The 2011 Chautauqua summer season schedule includes, Riders in the Sky, The Temptations featuring Dennis Edwards, Kenya Safari Acrobats, "Let's Hang On!" - Frankie Valli Tribute, Gaelic Storm, Righteous Brothers' Bill Medley, OSU Alumni Band, John Ford Coley Band, Starship starring Mickey Thomas, Shae Laurel and Helen Welch "Divas: Celebration of the First Ladies of Song." The Lakeside Symphony Orchestra will also peform eight inspiring concerts.
