2012 Admission & Gate Pass Fees

In order to provide quality entertainment, speakers, recreational activities and maintenance to our grounds and buildings, Lakeside is a gated community. Guests are required to pay a gate pass fee to enter the grounds during the Chautauqua summer season (June 23-Sept. 3, 2012).

By purchasing a gate pass, you are entitled to free participation in a wide range of Chautauqua programs, including religious life lectures, educational seminars, Hoover Auditorium performances and specific recreational activities. Memorial Day Weekend

Lakeside requires a reduced gate pass fee for Memorial Day Weekend (May 25-28, 2012). This gate pass fee underwrites the programming provided during the holiday weekend, including a Summer Opening Ceremony with the Chinese Golden Dragon Acrobats, recreational activities, Intergenerational Learning Seminar, Lakeside Volunteer Fair, Lakeside Fund Walk/Run, Sunday worship services, performance by the Beach Party Boys - Tribute to the Beach Boys and much more.

Reduced Rate Gate Passes

Lakeside also offers a reduced gate pass fee during Senior Venture Week, which is Week 10 (August 26-September 3) of the Chautauqua summer season. Limited programming will available in the Steele Memorial Bandstand, as well as educational seminars specifically focused to Senior Venture Week.

Buy/Order Gate Passes

If you would like to buy gate passes in advance online, please allow a minimum of two weeks for processing. You also have the option to purchase gate passes upon entering the grounds or complete and return the Gate Pass Order Form by mail. Purchasing a season gate pass in advance grants admission to the Lakeside grounds on Memorial Day Weekend.

Note: No motorcycles or trailers permitted within the Lakeside gates. Golf carts are only licensed by the season and must pass a Lakeside safety inspection.

Sunday Church Pass

Attend a Sunday morning worship service at no charge with a Church Pass. Church Passes are available from 7:30 - 10:30 am and are vaild until 3 pm. Attend a morning worship service, stay for lunch and enjoy the activities on the grounds. The pass includes admittance for guests and auto, which will be collected upon departure.

Shopping & Dining Pass

Dine at one of Lakeside's many restaurants or explore Lakeside's specialty shops at no charge with a Shopping & Dining Pass. The Shopping & Dining Passes are valid for 1.5 hours and must be signed by the manager of the establishment. Auto fees apply if vehicle is brought onto the Lakeside grounds. Free three-hour parking is available at the Fifth Street Gate entrance.

Walking Pass

A Walking Pass allows the user to enter the Lakeside grounds for the purpose of walking for one hour at a time, any time of day. The walker must enter and exit by the same gate, and the pass must be presented to the gate attendant upon entering and returned to the gate attendant upon exiting. The Walking Pass is non-transferable. Failure to leave the grounds within the allotted time will result in the payment of a flat fee from the time of entrance. The minimum charge is $5.50.
