Friends of Hotel Lakeside

More than 30 years ago, a group was formed to engage in the restoration of Lakeside’s historic old hotel, Hotel Lakeside. This group was determined to save the hotel from possible demolition and hence became known as the Friends of Hotel Lakeside. They are dedicated to preserving and upgrading the facility. Through membership dues and fundraisers, over the years the Friends have successfully decorated 85 percent of the rooms, redone the lobby Marine Dining room and front porch. Rooms have been refurbished with new wallpaper, paint and antique furnishings. All of this has been done with the help and cooperation of the Lakeside Association staff and Board of Trustees.
