The rooms have been upgraded in a typical cottage decor, the beds are comfortable and the English sideboard breakfast is outstanding. Relax on hickory rockers on our large wrap-around porch. With a large gathering room and 14 bedrooms (some private baths – some shared baths), we welcome groups of 14-34 for workshops, retreats and reunions before, after and during the Lakeside Chautauqua summer season. Idlewyld is onveniently located within walking distance of the lake and business district and directly across from Hoover Auditorium in a quiet and peaceful section of Lakeside. Maxwell's Hospitality House is listed in the National Historic Register. Ideally located across from Hoover Auditorium, it is close to restaurants and businesses, has a homey atmosphere with guest rooms, two efficiency apartments and a large comfortable porch. Reasonable rates by day or week. Whole house air conditioning. Great for reunions, retreats or seminars in the off-season September - June.

The Lakeside Women’s Club welcomes women to stay in historic Green Gables. Built in 1883, Green Gables is located in the heart of Lakeside, steps from the lake, Hoover Auditorium, shops and restaurants. Relax on the porch or the shaded garden patio. The four guest rooms, each with two twin beds, have window air conditioners. Shared bathroom. Refrigerator and dining space but no cooking priviledges. Green Gables is smoke-free and is not handicapped accessible. Open mid-June to mid-September.
