Blessings in 2023

One hundred and fifty years ago, the founders of Lakeside stood on the Lake Erie shoreline and envisioned a place for the faithful to gather. With camp meeting beginnings and Methodist roots, Lakeside became a place where people learn, worship, create, connect and renew together.

Lakeside’s timeless mission remains: To enrich the quality of life for all people, to foster traditional Christian values, and to nurture relationships through opportunities for renewal and growth – spiritually, intellectually, culturally and physically – while preserving Lakeside’s heritage.

Today, endless families and individuals count down the days until their return to Lakeside for rest, relaxation and renewal. Our youngest Lakesiders share in this excitement, too. In anticipation of Lakeside’s 150th Anniversary, here’s what children love most about this special place..
