Lakeside Chautauqua is a non-profit organization located on the beautiful shores of Lake Erie, half-way between Cleveland and Toledo. What is Lakeside Chautauqua?

Lakeside Chautauqua is a nonprofit organization that engages individuals in a year-round Chautauqua experience dedicated to nurturing mind, body and spirit. Located halfway between Cleveland and Toledo, it is a historic community and tourism hot spot that offers spiritual opportunities, educational lectures, cultural arts programming and recreational pursuits for guests of all ages.

With daily concerts, special events, lectures, shuffleboard, tennis, pickleball, waterfront activities, cottages, hotels, shops and restaurants, Lakeside remains a year-round retreat for generations of families.

Compensation & Incentives

Lakeside Chautauqua offers a competitive internship compensation package, which includes a seasonal stipend, shared housing (rent, water, electric, cable/internet included), and season gate and auto pass to attend summer programming at Lakeside.

Eligibility & Time Commitment

The ideal candidate is enrolled in a college/university with having completed at least one year of an undergraduate degree. Graduate students, recent college graduates and high schoolers are also accepted. Interns are required to work days, evenings, weekends and all summer holidays from May 12 to at least August 16 or for a total of 13-15 weeks in the summer. Work schedules are determined by supervisors; many positions require a 10-hour work day.
