Step into the wonder of Advent with this inspiring devotional journey based on the book And His Name Shall Be Called by Rev. Dr. James C. Howell. Through Scripture, reflection and the timeless music of Handel’s Messiah, we’ll explore the four names that reveal God’s abiding presence: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace.
Join us for this four-week, hybrid lunch-and-learn experience, where we’ll gather both in person and online at 12 p.m. Tuesdays from Dec. 2-23 for a devotional reading, music and guided prayer. Please bring your own lunch.
Each week invites you to encounter the God who still speaks through ancient words and sacred song, drawing us deeper in the mystery and beauty of Advent.
Participants will need to purchase their book before class, available at store.upperroom.org. Limited copies will be available for purchase or to borrow during the in-person session.
