What if the news you read helped bridge divides instead of deepening them?
Technologist, entrepreneur and activist John Gable brings his thought-provoking perspective to Hoover Auditorium for a timely and engaging keynote presentation.
Gable is the co-founder and CEO of AllSides, a platform that uses media bias ratings to deliver balanced news and diverse perspectives across the political spectrum.
Today, AllSides serves individuals, educators, media outlets, researchers, corporations, nonprofits and government agencies seeking to foster greater understanding across divides.
Before launching AllSides, Gable spent more than 30 years at the forefront of the tech industry. He was part of the original team behind Microsoft Office, later led product management lead for Netscape Navigator, and went on to head ZoneAlarm at Check Point Software. He also co-founded Kavi Corp., guiding the company through its eventual sale.
Earlier in his career, Gable worked in national politics, serving as a Republican operative for Senate majority leaders Howard Baker, Trent Lott and Mitch McConnell, as well as for the Republican National Committee and President George H. W. Bush.
Drawing on experience from both Silicon Valley and Washington, Gable now focuses on building tools that foster understanding in a polarized world. His keynote promises insight, candor and a fresh perspective on how technology can help us step outside our echo chambers and engage more thoughtfully with one another.
