In honor of the United States’ 250th anniversary, Lakeside invites artists and art lovers to take part in “America the Beautiful: Celebrating Our 250 Years,” a juried art exhibit on display July 1-31 at the Train Station. An Opening Reception will take place at 6 p.m. on the first day of the exhibit. Viewing hours are 2-4 p.m. on Tuesdays.
The exhibit showcases two-dimensional artwork that captures the beauty, spirit and landscapes of our nation while celebrating a shared appreciation for the people, places and ideals that make America unique.
Artists of all ages, both amateur and professional, are encouraged to submit original paintings, drawings and photography inspired by the beauty, resilience and inspiration found across the country.
From sweeping natural scenes to the character of communities and the traditions that bring people together, the exhibit seeks artwork that reflects what connects and uplifts us. This exhibit is strictly non-political and is designed to honor our nation with an inclusive and unifying spirit.
Whether you’re contributing artwork or visiting to enjoy the collection, join us at Lakeside to experience creativity, connection and the enduring beauty of America expressed through art.
