The Magruder Hospital & Lakeside Wellness Series welcomes Nick Marsico for a presentation on "The State of Healthcare."
Magruder Hospital President & CEO Nick Marsico will provide a candid look at today’s healthcare landscape from the perspective of independent, rural and community-based providers. The presentation examines the unique challenges facing rural hospitals while highlighting the essential role these organizations play in supporting local economies and community well-being. Marsico will also discuss the importance of innovation, partnership and resilience as rural hospitals adapt to changing patient needs, embrace new technologies and work to maintain access to high-quality care close to home.
Marsico has extensive experience in the healthcare industry. He earned his bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Toledo in 1999 and began his career as a Pharmacy Manager at Meijer, where he worked until 2005. In 2006, he joined Magruder Hospital as Director of Pharmacy, later serving as Administrative Director in 2012 and Vice President of Ancillary Services in 2013. From 2015-2020, Marsico served as the Chief Operating Officer before becoming President and CEO in 2020.
