Bonnis & the King

Bonnis & the King return to Lakeside to perform at the Steele Memorial Bandstand on Sunday, May 25 from noon-3 p.m.

Andrew Bonnis is a Northeast Ohio native and grew up playing local venues with his father. In 2012, he moved to Colorado where he joined ranks with musical legends such as “Dr. Banjo” Pete Wernick, Andy Thorn of Leftover Salmon, Jeff Austin of Yonder Mountain String Band and many more. It’s where he met Christine King, his future wife and musical partner. King spent her childhood playing in Texas Style Fiddle competitions, jamming bluegrass and toured for years playing pop-grass with award-winning band “The Railsplitters.”

Bonnis and King have played in many different bands together over the years and have toured nationally and internationally including Europe, the Caribbean and Asia. Today, they play a wide variety of genres, including originals, and are sure to entertain.
