Children’s Book Scavenger Hunt

The Fine Print bookstore, located at 202 Walnut Ave. in Lakeside, offers a wide variety of books and toys to discover. Owners Lisa and John Maharry also organize special events for kids of all ages year-round.

While parents are shopping or the family is dining in Lakeside, kids can participate in a fun, interactive Children’s Book Scavenger Hunt.

Ten hand-painted tiles of beloved book characters – like The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Pete the Cat and Dog Man – have been hidden in shops and restaurants across Lakeside’s downtown business district.

Stop by The Fine Print to pick up a scavenger hunt sheet starting on Mondays this summer, then return with your completed sheet at 2 p.m. Friday for a special drawing with prizes.
