Join Phil Savage, Jim Heikes, Frank Baker and other Lakeside Electric Vehicle (EV) owners for the “Down to Basics with Electric Vehicles” presentation at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6 in in the Fountain Inn Aigler Room.
This is an extension of the weekly EV Display at Pavilion Circle, organized by the Lakeside Environmental Stewardship Society.
We’re called to be “kind to the planet,” to treat the Earth with respect. There are many possibilities for how to be environmentally friendly, from reducing plastic usages, planting a butterfly garden to installing solar collectors and insulating homes.
Each is a personal decision that involves many factors, yet collectively when we do practice what we choose, we are making a difference.
One of the many choices that might be considered is an EV — yes, the new kid on the block. Are they really friendly to the planet?
Together, we’ll take a one-hour journey into EV land and be exposed to some of the basics. The goal is to learn and build on a growing scientific and experiential knowledge base that can assist us with deciding if EVs are a reality for us.
The event is finished.
