Join Jody Brausch for his presentation of “The Ford Tri-Motor & The Role It Played in the Daily Lives of Lake Erie Islanders” on Tuesday, Aug. 13 at 3:30 p.m. in Orchestra Hall.
The discussion will cover three topics: Ford’s role in the development of commercial aircraft, the Ford Tri-Motor and the important role it played to the relatively isolated populations residing on the Lake Erie Islands, and the Ford Tri-Motor restoration efforts taking place at the Port Clinton Airport.
Brausch is President of the Tri-Motor Heritage Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)3 charitable and educational organization devoted to perpetuating America’s aviation heritage through building, preserving and maintaining a flying 1929 Ford Tri-Motor aircraft.
Brausch holds a commercial pilot’s license and has over 3,000 flight hours in various types of aircraft, including Ford Tri-Motors.
For more than 16 years, Brausch and a group of dedicated volunteers have worked diligently to restore Ford Tri-Motor 5AT-40, one of the Fords that flew for Island Airlines between 1946-1952.
In his “real life,” Brausch is an investment advisor with more than 38 years of experience managing investment portfolios for a diverse clientele.
