Functional Fitness
Kim Chiodi is the instructor of this class that a type of exercise that focuses on improving the body’s ability to perform everyday life activities, from lifting toddlers to gardening to climbing stairs. It includes strength and cardio work, and involves compound movements, i.e., movements that involve the whole body, such as pushing, pulling, bending, squatting and core. The class meets Fridays from 9-10 a.m. in the Wellness Center Drackett Hall. Benefits include improvement in strength and stability, flexibility and mobility, balance and coordination.
