Helen Welch “Both Sides Now”
Helen Welch returns to Lakeside on Friday, June 3, performing at the Steele Memorial Bandstand at 7:30 p.m.
Helen Welch is an internationally acclaimed vocalist, entertainer, producer and band-leader. Her unique talent for arranging songs to make them her own, coupled with her ability to intimately engage her audience, has quickly earned her a large and devoted following around the globe.
Welch and her fabulous trio, Joe Leaman on piano, Aidan Plank on bass and Jim Rupp on drums present “Both Sides Now.” The evening will feature songs that define the decades and showcase the versatility of this talented quartet. From the title song “Both Sides Now” by Joni Mitchell to “That’s Life,” from exciting Latin/jazz grooves of “No More Blues” to a barn-burning “Can’t Buy Me Love,” from the gospel sounds of “Still Crazy After All These Years” to classic Broadway’s “On a Wonderful Day Like Today!” The evening promises to be exciting, entertaining, moving and, most of all, musical.
