Interactive & Intergenerational Cooking Demonstration

Lakeside is excited to partner with Otterbein Senior Life to present an interactive Cooking Demonstration for ages 10-16 at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6 at Otterbein Senior Life Bistro, located just outside the Fifth Street Gate at 9400 N. Shore Blvd.

Hosted by Otterbein’s Chef Frank and his culinary team, the free one-hour event is a delightful fusion of culinary exploration and meaningful conversation centered around the art of cooking.

Participants will learn and practice various cooking techniques and create dishes that are not only delicious but showcase cultural heritage and personal creativity.

The atmosphere will be vibrant with the aroma of freshly prepared ingredients. Each participant will savor the fruits of their labor and enjoy the tasty creations they’ve collectively prepared.

Amidst the cooking activities, there will be a rich tapestry of conversation spanning different generations and backgrounds as participants interact with the chef, his culinary team and residents of Otterbein’s retirement community. Stories will be shared, traditions will be passed down and friendship will be forged over the joy of learning together.

Parents and grandparents are invited to watch as kids participate in the Cooking Demonstration.
