Movie: “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day”

Orchestra Hall enjoys the distinction of being the only movie theater on the Marblehead Peninsula and Ottawa County. It is a historic theater to watch new and classic films.

Lakeside will feature the movie “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14. The movie is free, but Lakeside Chautauqua values donations to support these types of programs.

Alexander’s day begins with gum stuck in his hair, followed by more calamities. However, he finds little sympathy from his family and begins to wonder if bad things only happen to him, his mom, dad, brother and sister – who all find themselves living through their own terrible, horrible, no good, very bad days.

The movie stars Steve Carell, Jennifer Garner, Ed Oxenbould and Dylan Minnette. (PG, 1 h 21m)
