Movie: “Ready Player One”

Orchestra Hall enjoys the distinction of being the only movie theater on the Marblehead Peninsula and Ottawa County. It is a historic theater to watch new and classic films.

Lakeside will feature the movie “Ready Player One” at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6. The movie is free, but Lakeside Chautauqua values donations to support these types of programs.

When the creator of a virtual reality called the OASIS dies, he makes a posthumous challenge to all OASIS users to find his Easter Egg, which will give the finder his fortune and control of his world.

The film stars Tye Sheridan, Olivia Cooke, Ben Mendelsohn and Lena Waithe, offering a blend of action and sci-fi. (PG-13, 2h 20m)
