Science Rocks! “Why We See Lightning & Hear Thunder – Sound & Light Energy”

Join local Danbury teacher Thomas DeHaas for “Science Rocks!,” a youth program that encourages a better understanding of science, throughout the summer!

“Why We See Lightning & Hear Thunder – Sound and Light Energy” Have you ever wondered how sound travels into your ear and why we see certain colors when we look around?! During this event, participants will learn about sound and light energy and how we use this energy every day. Participants will have the opportunity to  use dispersion glasses, make different pitched sounds, and learn what happens when we see a rainbow.
