Lakeside Chautauqua Volunteer Corps

The Lakeside Chautauqua Volunteer Corps, an initiative organized by the Lakeside Chautauqua Foundation Board, is an opportunity for Lakesiders of all ages to help fill the gap of decreased labor in Lakeside by volunteering across the grounds and programming.

Many Lakesiders already volunteer, and we deeply appreciate all of their hard work and dedication to maintain and enhance our special community. Now, we’re looking for additional passionate and dedicated Lakesiders to step up and join them as part of the Lakeside Chautauqua Volunteer Corps.

You can use your time and talent to make a difference in the community. By committing your time, you will help reduce costs, complete important tasks and give back to your community.

Mulching Party: July 1
Volunteers are invited join a “Mulching Party” from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Friday, July 1. Meet outside the Grindley Aquatic & Wellness Campus Pool for location assignments.

Mulch bags will be distributed across Lakeside by the Grounds Crew. Volunteers are needed to help mulch the Memorial Garden at Chautauqua Park, around the Grindley Aquatic & Wellness Campus, the Hubbard Pickleball Center and Rhein Center, to name a few.

If you’re available to help, no RSVP is needed. The grounds are looking magnificent, and your assistance continues to help beautify Lakeside for all to enjoy. Thank you for your help!

Where to Volunteer

We’ll place you in a volunteer opportunity that’s the right fit for you. Certain volunteer opportunities are more popular than others, so please be flexible in the areas at Lakeside you are willing to help maintain and improve. Families can adopt a garden in their neighborhood; couples can volunteer for an activity that is close to their hearts; individuals can assist with the Farmers’ Market; and more. All volunteer opportunities will implement social distancing and put your health and safety first.

Who Should Volunteer?

All are welcome. Whether you volunteer with your friends, family, spouse or individually, the Lakeside Chautauqua Volunteer Corps is a great opportunity for everyone who loves Lakeside. Volunteer activities encompass a variety of capacities that best suit each member’s passions and are aligned with their interests, skills, and talents. Tell us a little bit about your interests
