Admission & Parking Fees

Lakeside Chautauqua requires guests and residents (between the ages of 5-89) to purchase a Chautauqua Pass and Auto Pass to enter the grounds between May 27-Sept. 5, 2022. There are a variety of Chautauqua Passes and Auto Passes to choose from depending on the length of your visit. Guests ages 4 & under and over the age of 90 enjoy free admission. Purchasing a Chautauqua Pass and Auto Pass includes admittance to the grounds, as well as access to entertainment in Hoover Auditorium, the Pool (on a first-come, first-served basis), Wellness Center, and a variety of religious, educational, cultural arts, and recreational opportunities. Purchasing Chautauqua Passes & Auto Passes

For your convenience, purchase Daily, Weekly and Season Chautauqua Passes and Auto Passes online beginning in March, with added benefits this year. You can also purchase passes onsite in April at the Hoover Ticket Office, located at 115 W. Third Street, or upon entering the gates of Lakeside during the gated season from May 27-Sept. 5, 2022. All passes are valid from the time of purchase until 7 p.m. the following day.

Entering the gates & select facilities

Please present your Chautauqua Pass and Auto Pass (if applicable) to be scanned upon entering and exiting the gates of Lakeside. Chautauqua Passes must also be shown to enter Hoover Auditorium and the Grindley Aquatic & Wellness Campus Pool and Wellness Center. New this year, guests can present Chautauqua Passes and Auto Passes from their mobile devices or a printed pass if purchased online.

PLEASE NOTE
  • Memorial Day Weekend, June, August, & Labor Day Weekend: The cost for an Adult Friday, Saturday or Sunday Pass is $28 (plus the Preservation Fee) if purchased on that day. If purchased any other day for Friday, Saturday, Sunday or if part of a multi-day purchase which includes Friday, Saturday, Sunday the price is the Daily Admission rate of $27.50 per adult (plus the Preservation Fee).
  • July: The cost for an Adult Friday, Saturday or Sunday Pass is $34 (plus the Preservation Fee) if purchased on that day. If purchased any other day for Friday, Saturday, Sunday or if part of a multi-day purchase which includes Friday, Saturday, Sunday the price is the Daily Admission rate of $32 per adult (plus the Preservation Fee).
  • *A Preservation Fee will be added at the time of purchase to all Adult Daily and Weekly Chautauqua Passes. Purchase pass online: add $1 per Adult Chautauqua Pass per day. Purchase at the gate: add $2 per Adult Chautauqua Pass per day. This fee will serve to preserve and protect our landscapes, shoreline, buildings, and amenities that have played a meaningful role in Lakeside’s past while carefully integrating improvements for the future.   • Auto Passes: All parking based on availability. No motorcycles or trailers are permitted within the Lakeside gates.
  • Season Passes: Take advantage of our Early Bird Discount on Season Chautauqua Passes and Season Auto Passes by purchasing online or in-person at the Hoover Ticket Office, located at 115 W. Third Street, by May 31.

PARTIAL DAY PASS

3-Hour: $6 (not valid at Hoover Auditorium or Pool; Auto Pass not included)
Available for purchase at the gates upon entry.

COMPLIMENTARY PASSES

Short-term Complimentary Passes are available at the gates for a variety of events and services in Lakeside, such as Sunday Worship Services, Faith for Living Hour, Tuesday Vespers, Thursday Mass, Laundromat services, and Shopping and Dining. Please note: Complimentary Passes do not allow access to Hoover Auditorium shows or the Grindley Aquatic Wellness Campus Pool and Wellness Center. Other conditions and Auto Pass may apply.  

Church Pass: This pass is available from 7:30-10:30 a.m. Sunday; valid until 1 p.m. The Church Pass includes admittance for guests and auto. If the time allotted is exceeded, the guest(s) will be charged a fee upon departure.

Faith for Living Hour Pass: This pass is available from 8:30-9 a.m. Monday-Thursday; valid until 1 p.m. The Faith for Living Hour Pass includes admittance for guests and auto. If the time allotted is exceeded, the guest(s) will be charged a fee upon departure.

Laundromat Pass: This pass is available from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. daily. The Laundromat Pass includes admittance for guests and auto and will be collected upon departure.

Shopping/Dining Pass: This pass is valid for 90 minutes and must be validated by the manager of the business establishment. If this is not completed, or if the time allotted is exceeded, the guest(s) will be charged a fee upon departure.

GATE HOURS (CHAUTAUQUA SUMMER SEASON)

Lakeside Chautauqua’s gates are in operation from 7 a.m. Friday, May 27 through 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 5, 2022. During closed hours, the South Gate Parking Lot will be accessible from inside the gates and exiting will be out the Fifth Street Gate. Gate hours for the summer are as follows:

  • Fifth Street Gate (600 W. Fifth St., Lakeside 43440): open 24 hours
  • South Gate (800 Maple Ave., Lakeside 43440): open 7 a.m.-11 p.m. daily
  • East Second Street Gate: open 7 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 7 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday-Sunday. This entrance is for those who already have Daily, Weekly or Season Chautauqua Passes and Auto Passes in hand or on mobile. There is no commerce available at this gate.
  • West Second Street Gate: open 7 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 7 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday-Sunday. This entrance is for those who already have Daily, Weekly or Season Chautauqua Passes and Auto Passes in hand or on mobile. There is no commerce available at this gate.
  • Welcome Center: open 1-9 p.m. daily
GATE HOURS (OFF-SEASON)

From the day after Labor Day through the Thursday prior to Memorial Day weekend, a Chautauqua Pass and Auto Pass are not required to enter Lakeside. The Fifth Street Gate is accessible 24 hours. The East/West Second Street and Cedar Avenue Gates close at approximately 9 p.m. The East Fourth and South Gates close at approximately 11 p.m. All gates reopen at approximately 6 a.m. in the off-season.
