Chautauqua Lecture Series
The hallmark of the education experience is the Chautauqua Lecture Series. Experts present topics ranging from history, science and politics to cultural arts, business and current world affairs. More than 50 lectures are offered during the summer.
The Education Department coordinates numerous programs throughout the year; from lectures and seminars to dialogues and documentaries, a variety of learning methods are used to promote intellectual growth.
Pro. Dev. Graduate Credit
Lakeside Chautauqua has partnered with Lake Erie College to offer professional development graduate credit based on participation in educational programs at Lakeside this summer. This opportunity is designed for educators needing to renew teaching licenses and/or gain professional development credit.
Family & Youth Programs
Families and youth can add a learning component to their summer vacation. With art, science, music, history, geography and literature offerings, the diverse programs allow you to interact and learn about the world together, all while having fun during the summer.
Lakeside’s community programs allow guests to learn about the world, explore the environment, study history and engage in classical and contemporary music discussions. Through seminars, guests grow personally and intellectually.
