Lakeside has many beautiful gardens and landscaped areas that need maintenance and care throughout the summer. Sign up to care for an area and work on your own time weekly with direction from the grounds crew. Supplies will be provided by grounds crew. Areas of focus include:
- Memorial Garden: Weeding, deadheading, and occasional pruning and hedge trimming several hours every 2-3 weeks.
- Bettinger Park Herb Garden: General care for the garden. Volunteers welcome to fresh herbs!
- Gundlach Garden: General care and upkeep including weeding, mulching, fertilizing, watering, and cutting back and dividing perennials in the fall.
