The Lakeside Association Board has commissioned a Sesquicentennial Steering Committee to begin the planning for Lakeside’s 150th anniversary celebration. The Steering Committee, co-chaired by Randy Snow and Cindy Grimm and consisting of 15 community and staff members, had a kick-off meeting on Saturday, Aug.14. The committee has been charged with planning and conducting a summer- long celebration of Lakeside’s rich cultural, historical and religious heritage as The Chautauqua on Lake Erie. This celebration will be about recognizing Lakeside’s past, celebrating the present, and looking to the future. The Steering Committee very much wants to involve the whole Lakeside community in the planning of this important milestone. All are invited to provide suggestions on how best to celebrate the Sesquicentennial in 2023. Please scan the QR code on your mobile device or visit surveymonkey.com/r/lakeside150 to provide your suggestions on programs, activities, events, and speakers
