5K Raccoon Run & One Mile Fun Run – July 21
Walkers, joggers and runners of all ages and abilities are invited to participate in the 44th Annual Raccoon Run & One-Mile Fun Run. This year, set a new personal record as you wind through the streets of Lakeside or enjoy a leisurely stroll with the grandkids. The 5K begins at 8 a.m., followed by the Fun Run at 8:15 a.m. Please note that T-shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after July 7.
Candlelight Symphony Showcase – Aug. 7
We’re excited to celebrate the Lakeside Symphony Orchestra (LSO) and 25 years of the Rhein Center at this year’s Lakeside Symphony Candlelight Showcase. Enjoy the music of the symphony while touring homes on the west side of Lakeside, with the Rhein Center as a featured stop. Early bird tickets are $60/person if purchased by Friday, May 31. Starting June 1, tickets increase to $70/person
Ashland University Graduate Credit – May 26-July 30
Ashland University, in partnership with Lakeside, offers professional development graduate credit for educators looking to renew their education licenses and/or gain professional development in their workplace. The two-semester course is a self-paced, independent study that allows participants to choose and attend the Lakeside summer events. Registration begins May 26 and ends July 30. The cost is $370. Volunteer Appreciation Dessert Reception – Aug. 2
We’ll recognize and celebrate the service and commitment of our volunteers at a Volunteer Appreciation Dessert Reception from 1-2:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2 on the Train Station Patio. All individuals who have volunteered at Lakeside are welcome to attend. Please RSVP by Wednesday, July 31.
Private Swim Lessons
Private Lessons are a perfect option for your child to receive one-on-one personalized instruction. They're offered from June 25-Aug. 9. The cost is $30 (1/2 hour for one person) and $50 (1/2 hour for two people). Pre-registration is required. Register at the Pool Office or email registration@lakesideohio.com.
Photography Show – July 25-Aug. 17
The 48th Annual Lakeside Photography Show will take place from Thursday, July 25-Saturday, Aug. 17 in the lobby of Hoover Auditorium. This is a non-juried show that welcomes entries from any amateur and professional photographers. The deadline for registration is Friday, July 19 or until the show is full.
