Chapel in the Woods

The Chapel in the Woods features a secluded, peaceful setting and natural surroundings. Located near the South Gate Welcome Center, this area is an ideal location for an outdoor wedding ceremony or intimate gathering. The space can seat 50 guests, with the option for more by adding chairs to the space.

Chautauqua Park

Chautauqua Park features a unique outdoor setting of beautiful gardens and wooded space. Home to a memorial garden, the natural surroundings of this park offer a place where the living can reflect and connect spiritually, loved ones can be remembered, special occasions can be celebrated and the beauty of nature can be embraced. The Chautauqua Park Pavilion seats up to 100 people, and the lawn can accommodate more than 200 guests for an outdoor event.

Hoover Auditorium

Historic Hoover Auditorium meets the needs of larger groups visiting our Chautauqua community. This massive structure accommodates up to 2,600 guests and includes A/V and sound capabilities with two projection screens and a large open stage. This space is ideal for large conferences and concerts and is open seasonally from May-September.

Hotel Lakeside Lawn

The front lawn of Hotel Lakeside is one of Lakeside’s most popular outdoor venues. With more than 9,000 square feet of waterfront greenspace and a beautifully landscaped fountain, the Hotel Lakeside lawn comfortably seats 300 guests for an outdoor ceremony and easily accommodates large tents for additional covered space. The Hotel Lakeside front lawn is the picturesque waterfront setting for your next special event at Lakeside Chautauqua.

Orchestra Hall

Orchestra Hall, Lakeside Chautauqua’s historic movie theater, is also available for group meetings seasonally from May-September. Located in the downtown business district, Orchestra Hall accommodates 225 guests and includes a large stage area and piano and also has A/V capability.

Pavilion

This beautifully situated iconic Lakeside building sits directly on the Lake Erie shoreline. With indoor and outdoor spaces, each area can comfortably accommodate 75 guests in a classroom or banquet-style arrangement. With more than 1,500 square-feet of space on both outdoor decks, groups can gather for picnics, celebrations and meetings. Indoor spaces include one meeting room with approximately 600 square-feet of space. Please note, this venue does not offer air conditioning.

Perry Park

Perry Park, a waterfront park on the east end of the grounds, offers a beautiful waterfront backdrop for special gatherings. Located adjacent to the nature/walking trail, Perry Park is the perfect setting for an intimate wedding ceremony, family reunion or picnic in the park.

South Auditorium

Located on Central Avenue in the heart of the Chautauqua community, South Auditorium is the perfect venue for youth camps, rummage sales, craft shows and other large gatherings. Built in the 1800s, the antique charm of this large auditorium provides the ideal space for summer events and can accommodate between 250 to 500 guests. South Auditorium may be rented during the summer, as well as in the off-season. A portable projector, screen and audio equipment are available upon request for an additional charge.

The East and West Wings of South Auditorium provide additional group space for smaller breakout sessions and meetings. The East and West Wings may be rented in both the summer and off-season. A portable projector, screen and audio equipment are available upon request for an additional charge.

Steele Memorial Bandstand (Gazebo)

Located in our Central Park next to the mini golf course and playground, the Steele Memorial Bandstand has become a gathering place for a variety of Lakeside traditions and events.

The Steele Memorial Bandstand/Gazebo has been the setting for so many memories since its construction. There have been concerts and worship events, weddings, lectures, author visits and nature programs. As a cornerstone spot on Ohio’s Most Beautiful Mile, many have chosen the gazebo to be the focus of a painting, a shady spot for a family reunion or a stage for a marriage proposal.

Train Station

The Lakeside Train Station is apart of the original Lakeside and Marblehead Railroad that was incorporated constructed on or about October 1, 1886. It is now a Historical Landmark.

The railroad’s depot at Lakeside, Ohio, was restored in 2003 and is now used as a multi-purpose meeting facility for worship organizations, lectures, and more for Lakeside’s campus. The Train Station provides picnic tables, parking near the building, and covered spaces with open sides. It can accommodate up to 90 guests.

Drackett Hall in the Wellness Center

Part of the Grindley Aquatic & Wellness Campus at Sixth Street and Laurel Avenue, the Wellness Center offers a large banquet room that is ideal for wedding receptions, private parties, meetings, fitness classes and more. The main room can be divided into two rooms or combined into one large space. It accommodates between 120 to 225 guests based on the rooms selected. The Wellness Center also offers a small kitchenette space for staging meals. The facility sits between a tree lined Nature/Walking Trail to the south and the pool to the north, while beautiful landscaping surrounds the facility, providing natural views for your guests.

Wesley Lodge (North & South)

Wesley Lodge is located in the heart of Lakeside Chautauqua just blocks from historic Hoover Auditorium and the downtown business district. The lodge features a 4,750 square-foot space and 20-foot cathedral ceilings. With two sides, Wesley Lodge North and South can be rented individually or together; the spaces can accommodates between 200 to 400 guests. Wesley Lodge is an ideal space for groups to enjoy year-round, especially during the winter season with the warmth of the fireplace.
