All Lakeside Fencing Tournament (ages 7-11)

Put your newly acquired fencing skills to the test in the All Lakeside Fencing Tournament, Friday, July 19 at 11 a.m. in the Wellness Center Drackett Hall. Participants must have completed a two-day fencing class at Lakeside to be eligible.

Each age group will be divided into two groups of six fencers in each respective pool. All six fencers in each group will fence each other off, up to 5 touches. After both sets of pools are completed, the results are tallied and a direct elimination fence off begins with the highest seed fencing the lowest seed, etc., until we have a champion. Gold, silver and bronze medals are awarded. The direct elimination bouts will be up to 10 touches.

Participation in a two-day beginner fencing class at Lakeside is required for participation in this tournament.

Pre-registration is required at lakesideohio.com/registration, and the cost of the tournament is $10/person. Please note that registration does not include admission and parking fees that are required to enter the Lakeside grounds.
