At the heart of the Lakeside experience, and what sets it apart from a typical summer vacation, is our Chautauqua programming season – a perfect balance of religious, educational, cultural and recreational experiences to nurture mind, body and spirit.
Guests and residents must purchase a Chautauqua Pass and Auto Pass to enter the grounds of Lakeside during the Chautauqua programming season, from the Friday of Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
Please present your Chautauqua Pass when entering and exiting the gates of Lakeside, as well as entering Hoover Auditorium for evening entertainment and the Grindley Aquatic & Wellness Campus Pool. Guests ages 5 & under and 90 & older enjoy FREE admission.

Children age 5 are now free at Lakeside.
Children ages 12 – 14 are now included in the Child Pass price — making it even easier for parents and grandparents to save on a family-friendly Lakeside vacation!
Credit & Debit Card Transaction Fee: Like other venues and businesses, Lakeside will charge a card transaction fee of 2.75% on admission and parking purchases. In past years, Lakeside absorbed this transaction fee.

Exclusive Passes at the Gates
These short-term passes are only available to purchase at the gate, not online. There are a variety of passes to choose from depending on the length of your visit. Guests ages 5 & under and ages 90 & older enjoy FREE admission.
A Partial Day Pass, valid for 4 hours, is available to purchase at the gates for $15. A Partial Day Pass does not include an Auto Pass or access to Hoover Auditorium entertainment or the Grindley Aquatic Wellness Campus Pool and Wellness Center. This pass is available for purchase at the Fifth Street Gate and South Gate upon entry (not online) and must be purchased before 5 p.m. There is a late fee when departing past 4 hours. An Auto Pass needs to be purchased if parking. If the allotted hours are exceeded, guests will be required to purchase a Daily Chautauqua Pass.

This complimentary pass is valid for 2 hours and must be validated/stamped by the manager of the business establishment. A Shopping/Dining Pass does not include an Auto Pass or access to Hoover Auditorium entertainment or the Grindley Aquatic Wellness Campus Pool and Wellness Center. This pass is available to pick up at the Fifth Street Gate, South Gate and Welcome Center upon entry (not online). An Auto Pass needs to be purchased if parking. If the allotted two hours are exceeded, guests will be required to purchase a Daily Chautauqua Pass.
Church Pass: This complimentary pass is available from 7:30-10:30 a.m. Sunday; valid until 1 p.m. The Church Pass includes admittance for guests and auto. This pass must be presented to the gate attendant upon departure. If the allotted hours are exceeded, guests will be required to purchase a Daily Chautauqua Pass.
Faith for Living Hour Pass: This complimentary pass is available from 8:30-9 a.m. Monday-Thursday (when Faith for Living is offered); valid until 1 p.m. The Faith for Living Hour Pass includes admittance for guests and auto. This pass must be presented to the gate attendant upon departure. If the allotted hours are exceeded, guests will be required to purchase a Daily Chautauqua Pass.
Tuesday Vespers Pass: This complimentary pass is available from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday (when Vespers is offered); valid until 9 p.m. The Tuesday Vespers Pass includes admittance for guests and auto. This pass must be presented to the gate attendant upon departure. If the allotted hours are exceeded, guests will be required to purchase a Daily Chautauqua Pass.
Thursday Roman Catholic Mass Pass: This complimentary pass is available from 6-6:30 p.m. Thursday (when Roman Catholic Mass is offered); valid until 9 p.m. The Roman Catholic Mass Pass includes admittance for guests and auto. This pass must be presented to the gate attendant upon departure. If the allotted hours are exceeded, guests will be required to purchase a Daily Chautauqua Pass.
Sunday Sunset Praise Pass: This complimentary pass is valid 7:30-9:30 p.m. Sunday (when Sunset Praise is offered); valid until 10 p.m. The pass includes admittance for guests and auto. This pass must be presented to the gate attendant upon departure. If the time allotted is exceeded, the guest(s) will be charged a fee. If the allotted hours are exceeded, guests will be required to purchase a Daily Chautauqua Pass.
Short-Term Complimentary Passes are available upon entry at the gates and for a variety of events and activities (for example, dropping off luggage at the hotel). Passes must be scanned upon entering and exiting the Lakeside gates. Please note that Complimentary Passes do not include access to Hoover Auditorium entertainment or the Grindley Aquatic Wellness Campus Pool and Wellness Center. If the time allotted is exceeded, the guest(s) will be charged a fee upon departure. Other conditions and Auto Passes may apply. If the allotted hours are exceeded, guests will be required to purchase a Daily Chautauqua Pass.

Auto Passes
An Auto Pass is required from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day.To help with congestion and continue our high safety standards, Lakeside offers three different parking options and fees: inside the Lakeside gates, at the South Gate Parking Lot or at the Danbury School Parking Lot. Upon receiving your Auto Pass, please place it in the lower left corner of your windshield. The Safety Services Department will check Auto Passes as part of their daily routine.
