Anson Williams, best known for his Golden Globe-nominated role as “Potsie” on the iconic sitcom “Happy Days,” comes to Lakeside as part of the Keynote Speaker Series at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 25 in Hoover Auditorium.

For over the past two decades, Williams has been an award-winning television director and writer, directing over 300 hours of television, including “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine,” “Star Trek: Voyager,” Steven Spielberg’s “SeaQuest,” “Pretender,” “Lizzie McGuire,” “Melrose Place,” “Charmed,” “Beverly Hills 90210,” “Hercules,” Xena: Warrior Princess,” HBO’s “All American Murder” starring Christopher Walken, “Profiler” and the award-winning “Secret Life of the American Teenager.”

For his writing, Williams has won the prized Humanitas Award and was honored by the National Association of Student Leaders. He served on the National Board of the USO and was instrumental in making the entertainment division profitable for the organization.

Williams is also a successful entrepreneur, co-founding an international product and ad platform company. He has been honored by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office for his expertise in product trademarking, which included a speech by Williams along with the Under Secretary of Commerce.

Williams, inspired and supported by his famous uncle, Dr. Henry Heimlich, created the lifesaving product Alert Drops that has saved thousands of lives from drowsy driving. Alert Drops has been honored by the U.S. Congress, California State Senate and the city of Los Angeles.
