Ladies Beginner Fencing (ages 16+)

In this one-day Ladies Beginner Fencing Class for Adults (ages 16+), participants will fence with actual fencing equipment (non-electric). You can expect, fun, positive energy and encouragement as you learn something challenging and rewarding. Class is Tuesday, July 16 from noon-1:15 p.m. at the Wellness Center Drackett Hall.

Activities will include instruction on how to get into competitive or recreational fencing shape and will focus on the concepts of fighting: distance, timing and execution of more complicated fencing actions. History of fencing, Olympic Fencing and competitive vs. recreational fencing will be discussed.

Dress code: Tennis shoes, T-shirt, shorts or sweatpants (preferred)

Pre-registration is required at lakesideohio.com/registration and the cost is $18/person. Please note that registration does not include admission and parking fees that are required to enter the Lakeside grounds.
