Lakeside Blessing Box Benefit – Comedy Show

Lakeside teens are hosting a Benefit Comedy Show at 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 24 in Orchestra Hall

The Improv group, Scriptless in Seattle, is returning to the Lakeside stage for this special performance. Donations from the event will be used to construct a Blessing Box on the Marblehead Peninsula.

A Blessing Box is similar to a Little Lending Library, but instead of books, it’s filled with non-perishable food items for people who could use a little extra food when needed. People can add food and take food anonymously.

Lakesiders may remember the excitement that Scriptless in Seattle brought the last time they visited. The group performs live, unscripted humor, offering a unique blend of hilarious sketches, improvised musicals, game shows, film noir and much more.

Teens will be available to collect monetary donations for the Blessing Box, as well as canned food donations for the Compassion Cart.

The Underground is partnering with The Kite Shop to care for our neighbors this summer. The Kite Shop is supporting the Blessing Box Benefit in celebration of its 40th Anniversary of business in the Lakeside community.
