Lenten Study

As part of our Lakeside Online series, Join Rev. Dr. Charles Yoost, Senior Director of Religious Life & Pastoral Care, for a time of devotion and reflection beginning on Ash Wednesday, February 14, and each Wednesday during Lent through March 27.

The theme, “Seven Words from the Cross,” is based on the words of Jesus and the books by Peter Storey, Listening at Golgotha, and William Willimon, Thank God It’s Friday. Both are available through The Fine Print bookstore at Lakeside and from Amazon.

Each 20-minute session will be pre-recorded and include a Scripture reading by Lakeside’s President & CEO Charles Allen, a reflection by Yoost, and a hymn shared by Lakeside’s Worship & Music Director Michael Shirtz.

The sessions will be available for you to listen to and reflect upon each Wednesday and any time following throughout the Lenten season. The purpose of this portion of Lakeside Online is to deepen your spiritual life and to stimulate action and response to the message of the Gospel.
