Military Appreciation Day

To honor the men and women who have served or are currently serving in all branches of the U.S. Military, Lakeside Chautauqua has slated Saturday, June 15 as Military Appreciation Day.

Veterans and those currently serving in any branch of the military will be granted free admission and parking to Lakeside Chautauqua upon presenting a Military or Veteran ID at the South Gate, Fifth Street Gate or the Welcome Center.

Veterans will receive free admission and parking for themselves and one guest, and active military personnel will receive free admission and parking for themselves and their immediate family.

Highlights for the day, weather permitting:

• 8-10 a.m. Fishing 101
• 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Rhein Center Open Studio
• 10:30 a.m. Chair Yoga
• 1-7 p.m. Collector Car Show
• 1-4 p.m. Music with Bonnis & The King
• 4-7 p.m. Music with Gary Cover
• 7:30 p.m. Michael Cavanaugh Concert

In addition to these special events, take advantage of even more Chautauqua programs, including shuffleboard, pickleball, tennis, swimming at the pool and lake, splash pad, parks and playgrounds, nature/walking trail, shopping and dining. Mini golf and waterfront rentals are available for a nominal fee.

Lakeside residents are asked to hang American flags on this day to show appreciation for all branches of the U.S. Military.
