With Lakeside Chautauqua’s 150th Anniversary just around the corner, we’re excited to introduce you to Lakeside Onlinea new way to connect with friends year-round, explore the Chautauqua experience from the comfort of home and catch a sneak peek of what’s in store for the Sesquicentennial Celebration next summer.

From December through April, join us to discuss books written by next summer’s visiting authors and speakers and participate in virtual conversations with the Chautauqua Pillar Directors and an Advent Study.

Nurturing mind, body and spirit is at the heart of Lakeside recreation. The grounds of Lakeside encompass parks, pools and recreation courts, including shuffleboard, tennis and pickleball. Nature trails, most notably Ohio’s Most Beautiful Mile along the shoreline, are where the beauty of nature, the charm of good company and the energy of the lake come together.

Join us in a sneak peek of tournaments, workshops and classes planned for 2023 as we connect with the community and celebrate Lakeside’s 150th Anniversary.

Katalin Domotorffy joined the Lakeside Chautauqua team as the Director of Recreation & Wellness just in time to kick off the 2021 summer season.

Forty-four years of fast-paced New Jersey living trained her well for the very active and busy Lakeside summers and helped her embrace the peace and tranquility of living here year-round. Rooted in a very active and tight-knit Hungarian community and a lifelong Girl Scout leader, Domotorffy feels best as part of a team working towards common purpose, where adventure, laughter and comradery abound.

Domotorffy earned her bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy in 2000 from the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland and worked as a licensed Physical Therapist for 20 years at Saint Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. Her treatment philosophy embraced treating the whole body, mind and spirit, which led her to countless hours of training in myofascial body work, energy medicine and becoming a 500-hour certified yoga teacher.

In 2019, Domotorffy transitioned into what she defines as a “dream job” as a Stress Management Element Specialist for the Ornish Lifestyle Medicine Program, where she has taught over 400 stress management classes as part of an integrative cardiac rehabilitation program.

She is a lifelong student of self-healing and anything under the sun, which fuels her passion for wellness, self-care and fun. Domotorffy is a WPA Level 1 Paddleboard Instructor and SUP yoga instructor.

Spending time with her family – husband, Tom, son, Emil, and dogs Cimbi and Winston – boating, water sports, skiing, biking, camping, Hungarian folk dancing, meditating, and working at Lakeside fuel her joy.

The event is finished.
