Go back in time with some of the greatest folk-rock hits when Live from Laurel Canyon “Songs & Stories of American Folk Rock” takes the stage of Hoover Auditorium.
Live from Laurel Canyon is an unforgettable evening of live music and narrated stories that shine a spotlight on the influential songwriters who made Laurel Canyon their home in the mid-1960s and 70s.
Much like other legendary rock & roll neighborhoods of the era, such as Haight Ashbury in San Francisco or Greenwich Village in New York City, Laurel Canyon became a creative haven where artists shaped a new genre of music and transformed the look, sound and spirit of American pop.
The show celebrates The Mamas and The Papas, The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, The Doors, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Neil Young, James Taylor, Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, America and The Eagles with powerful storytelling and fresh interpretations of the era’s most iconic songs.
