This week’s Religious Life Lunch & Learn will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 25 and Wednesday, Aug. 26 and welcomes Greg Linville, Director of Resource Development for The Association of Church Sports and Recreation Ministries. He will host two featured speakers from India and Ukraine who will offer inspiring presentations highlighting the confluence of Christian faith and sports. Bring your own lunch. Dr. "V" and Rev. "Z" will share personal stories and experiences about the culture and history of their countries with a special focus on the wars and strife that currently exists.
Dr. V. will discuss "Nagaland: Did You Know It’s Called the Bible-Belt of India?" on Tuesday, Aug. 25. Rev. "Z" will present "Ukraine: What’s True & What’s Propaganda?" on Wednesday, Aug. 26. Come and hear what it’s like to have to take your very own young child to a bomb shelter rather than the hospital that is under drone attack. Learn about the violence that occurs when cultures and tribes collide and what makes Nagaland the most unique area of Asia.
This Religious Life Lunch & Learn will provide Lakesiders with another opportunity to hear first-hand, eye-witness accounts of world shaping events. Both men are Global Network Partners (GNP’s) of the Association of Church Sports & Recreation Ministers (CSRM).
