Eastgate Creative will visit Lakeside on June 17, July 30 and August 27 for special previews and filmmaker discussions of the forthcoming documentary series, “The Forge of Friendship.” This five-part series explores the friendship between authors C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien and the experiences, challenges and ideas that helped shape epic tales like The Chronicles of Narnia and The Lord of the Rings.
Attendees will enjoy a first look at the film’s official trailer, an extended screening of select scenes and an interactive Q&A with the filmmakers.
Produced by Eastgate Creative, a nonprofit film production company dedicated to educational and historical storytelling, “The Forge of Friendship” offers a compelling look at the lives, friendship and lasting influence of two of the 20th century’s most celebrated authors.
