A ticket is required for admission to concerts in Hoover Auditorium. Season Chautauqua Passholders must also reserve a ticket. Tickets do not reserve a specific seat. Reserving your ticket in advance helps us plan for adequate seating.

 

Present your ticket at the entrance to Hoover Auditorium for scanning. Seating is general admission and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Gate and Parking Passes are not required to enter Lakeside.

Jabari Johnson is a distinguished gospel artist whose artistry transcends traditional boundaries — blending the richness of contemporary worship with the deep, resonant tones of classic gospel. His commanding presence on stage, coupled with his extraordinary vocal prowess, has positioned him as a formidable force within the gospel music industry.  

 

Johnson’s discography is a testament to his exceptional talent and versatility, featuring critically acclaimed albums and singles such as "You Are Good" and "Have Your Way." These works showcase his ability to craft deeply moving, spiritually uplifting music — and his innate skill in connecting with audiences on a profound level. 

 

Beyond his solo career, he has lent his voice and musicianship to collaborations with some of the most respected names in the industry. His performances aren’t merely musical experiences; they’re powerful, transformative encounters that leave an indelible impact on everyone in the room. 

 

It’s rare to encounter an artist who consistently radiates a profound devotion to Christ in every interaction — but Johnson stands out as exactly that. 

 

Originating from Houston, Texas, this gifted singer, songwriter and musician embarked on his musical journey at the age of 3. With his brother, Nicholas, he formed the quartet group "The Johnson Brothers" at just 8 years old — sharing the stage with acclaimed quartet acts such as Lee Williams, The Canton Spirituals, Keith "Wonderboy" Johnson and Tim Rogers. 

 

While serving as the lead guitarist at The Potter’s House under Bishop T.D. Jakes in Dallas, Texas, Johnson’s musicianship afforded him the opportunity to perform alongside renowned artists across gospel and beyond. After his time at The Potter’s House, he became one of the Worship Leaders at New Life Covenant Southeast, led by Pastor John F. Hannah in Chicago, Illinois. 

 

Television appearances include captivating performances at the 33rd & 34th Annual Stellar Awards, events with Bishop T.D. Jakes and MegaFest’s Faith, Family & Film Festival, Tye Tribbett, The Clark Sisters, Fred Hammond, and the BET Hip-Hop Awards alongside Tobe Nwigwe. 

 

He released his debut single “You Are Holy” in March 2015, generating considerable excitement within the gospel industry and opening doors to numerous opportunities. The momentum continued with his 2022 sophomore album, “One Touch,” which received Stellar Award and Dove Award nominations for the album and its title song. His latest single, “Can’t Stop,” is a full-hearted live worship moment, streaming on all platforms.

David Leonard
Nashville-based artist, songwriter, and producer David Leonard has built a career marked by both creative depth and collaborative impact. After first gaining recognition as a member of the band Jackson Waters and later touring with NEEDTOBREATHE, Leonard became widely known as one-half of the critically acclaimed, Grammy-nominated duo All Sons & Daughters. 

Alongside his work as an artist, he is a Dove Award-winning producer and serves as a creative partner with The Creak Music, collaborating with names such as Brandon Lake and Cody Carnes. 

With a signature blend of honest lyricism and textured, soulful production, Leonard’s solo work continues to resonate with listeners seeking both authenticity and artistry. 

As a solo artist, he has steadily carved out a distinct voice, blending introspective songwriting with atmospheric, genre-bending production. 

His debut album, The Wait, introduced listeners to his thoughtful, faith-rooted perspective, while follow-up releases like Plans showcased a broader sonic palette and deeper lyrical vulnerability, featuring standout tracks such as “Good Lord” and “Light a Fire.” 

Continuing to evolve, Leonard has been releasing a steady stream of singles and collaborations that highlight his ability to merge worship, country and alternative influences, further establishing him as a compelling solo voice with a sound that feels both intimate and expansive.

Directions to Lakeside: Lakeside Chautauqua is located in Ohio on the Marblehead Peninsula, halfway between Toledo and Cleveland on Lake Erie’s south shore. It’s easily accessible from the east or west via Interstate 90, State Route 2 and State Route 163.

 

Parking: Parking is limited on the Lakeside grounds. Guests are invited to park in the South Gate parking lot off State Route 163 and the grass area around the Lakeside Schoolhouse (along Seventh Street).

Hoover Auditorium Location: Hoover Auditorium (115 W. Third St.) is located on the corner of Third St. and Walnut Ave. in Lakeside, Ohio, and is a short walking distance or shuttle ride from available parking locations. The historic auditorium seats more than 2,000 guests.

 

Seating: Seats are general admission and available on a first-come, first-served basis. All members of your party must be present before seating.

 

Food & Beverages: Food and beverages are prohibited inside Hoover Auditorium. Bottled water is permitted.

 

Large Bags, Backpacks & Purses: Backpacks, drawstring bags, totes and large purses are prohibited inside Hoover Auditorium. Smaller bags (under 12 inches) must be checked at the front door only. ADA access will have bags checked.

 

Lakeside is a Tobacco-Free Community: Thank you for not smoking or vaping.

 

Lakeside is a Dry Community: No consumption of alcoholic beverages on the Lakeside grounds except within a homeowners’ property. Alcoholic beverages are not sold or served on the grounds.
