Concert in the Park: Adelee & Gentry

Lakeside favorite Adelee & Gentry return to the Steele Memorial Bandstand for a concert on Sunday, June 2 at 6 p.m.

The sisters, who grew up in West Alexandria, Ohio, as part of a musical family, started performing as a duo in 2006 when Adelee was 14 years old and Gentry was 12. Since then, they have toured across the country singing on the stages of performing arts centers, college campuses and festivals.

The Dayton Daily News describes their music as a “polished folk-pop sound that is grounded by a rootsy base but elevated by the self-taught sisters’ unique yet captivating style of two-part harmonies.”

The sisterly collaboration birthed their breakthrough debut album, Nice to Meet You… in March 2012 and have released a holiday EP, Waiting for Christmas, and single, “The Color Song.” For their Lakeside concert, Adelee & Gentry will perform a mix of cover songs and original music.

Their unique vocal styling and harmonies are garnering attention by music industry pros such as Billboard 615 Spotlight and Music News Nashville. Adelee & Gentry have been featured on local TV shows, including “Living Dayton” and “Words & Music Nashville”, as well as local radio stations.
