Concert in the Park: Austin Walkin’ Cane & Friends

Austin Walkin’ Cane & Friends returns to Lakeside for an evening of blues music at the Steele Memorial Bandstand Thursday, Aug. 22 at 7 p.m.

Original and classic tunes featuring slide guitar and soulful vocals, this concert is a blues gumbo repertoire that can conjure up the ghosts of Highway 61 and the Delta blues experience.

Cane is a blues singer, songwriter and slide guitarist who performs acoustic solo, duo and electric band sets. He has toured Australia, Nepal, Colombia, France, Germany, England, Wales and the U.S., from New Orleans to Juneau, Alaska, with only a guitar and suitcase in hand.
