Heidelberg University presents a Musical Theatre Intensive Performance

Teens ages 13-18 are invited to join professionals from Heidelberg University for a Musical Theatre Intensive at Lakeside, July 22-26.

Take the stage in a musical theatre workshop that will build the singer, actor and dancer in you. The five-day musical theatre workshop combines dance techniques, monologue work, vocal coaching with pre-professional sessions on auditioning, vocal health and collaborating as an artist.

Each participant will have the opportunity to perform in master classes and receive individual feedback and recommendations from the teaching artists. Participants are encouraged to bring songs and monologues for individual coaching.

The workshop is directed by Carol Dusdeiker, Heidelberg University School of Musical Theatre professor. Michael Shirtz is the Musical Director and Pamela Shirtz is the Choreographer.

MUSICAL THEATRE INTENSIVE INFORMATION
The five-day intensive meets from 1-4 p.m. Monday, July 22-Friday, July 26 in the Pavilion Upper Room and on the Pavilion East Deck and culminates in a performance for the Lakeside community at 3:30 p.m. Friday, July 26 on the Pavilion Jennings East Deck. The performance features ensemble and small group selections, monologues, solos and dance features prepared and polished throughout the week.
