Following the first day of the Watersports Show in Lakeside, veteran comedian Tom Papa brings his hilarious stand-up show to Hoover Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3. Andy Fiori is the opening performer.
With more than 20 years as a stand-up comedian, Papa is one of the top comedic voices in the country, finding success in film, TV, radio, podcasts and on the live stage.
He’s had four comedy specials (three on Netflix), wrote two books, and co-hosts “What A Joke with Papa and Fortune” (Feimster) on SiriusXM’s Netflix Channel.
Papa has appeared in several movies, including “The Informant,” “Analyze That” and “Behind the Candelabra.” He was also a voice and writer for the animated film “Bee Movie.”
Personally chosen by Jerry Seinfeld, Papa hosted the NBC series, “The Marriage Ref,” which ran for two seasons.
Papa had a recurring role opposite Julia Louis-Dreyfus on the CBS series, “The New Adventures of Old Christine” and starred in his own NBC series, “Come to Papa.”
Papa’s opener, Fiori, is a nationally touring stand-up comedian and radio personality based in New York City. He’s regarded as one of the most dedicated and likeable comedians working today.
Fiori has performed at Montreal’s Just for Laughs, Moontower and the New York Comedy Festivals.
He was one of the stars of the hit documentary, “The World’s Most Dangerous Amusement Park, and has made numerous appearances on Comedy Central. His full special, “Check Right,” was released to critical acclaim in 2022.
Fiori is also an accomplished radio personality and producer. He is best known as Merc Face from “The Bonfire,” is a regular on Bennington and is the host of “The Raw Report” on SiriusXM.
