Cozy Denim & Flannel Memory Quilt Class

Enjoy a crafty weekend getaway in Lakeside and leave with a cozy quilt woven with memories. Crafted from old denim, the approximately 61″x76″ finished quilt is a perfect way to upcycle your old jeans, skirts and vests.

Use Grandpa’s old work overalls, Aunt Bea’s gardening apron or your kids’ outgrown jeans and you’ll have a treasured memory quilt to warm your heart. Lined with soft, woven flannel, the denim quilt is naturally weighted so it feels like you’re wrapped in a hug. Some machine sewing experience is required.

Darla Gaiser and her sister Denise will guide you through the process and show you ways to adapt this technique to many other items. The two-day class is Saturday, April 2 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, April 3 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Aigler Room at the Fountain Inn. The class cost is $35. Click here to register.
