Gardening: Sustainable Strategies with Sarah Chong
These educational and often hands-on weekly gardening programs are held every Thursday throughout the summer and feature guest speakers and a variety of gardening topics. The programs are held from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. at the Train Station unless otherwise noted. Programs are free of charge and registration is not required.
Learn how to grow a greener future using organic gardening practices with resource conservation. Sarah will discuss companion planting, attracting pollinators, and natural pest repellent strategies, as well as earth-friendly products that are available.
Sarah Chong has been an Interpretive Naturalist for five years. She began her career as a State Parks Naturalist, working at Maumee Bay and East Harbor before moving to the Sandusky County Park District in 2020. Sarah has a degree in Environmental Science from Heidelberg University.
