Make and Take Kokadama Arrangement with Christine Michael
These educational and often hands-on weekly gardening programs are held every Thursday throughout the summer and feature guest speakers and a variety of gardening topics. The programs are held from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. at the Train Station unless otherwise noted. Programs are free of charge and registration is not required.
Join Christine Michael to learn about Kokedama, the Japanese art of flower planting and display. You will plant your own moss-covered ball of soil wrapped with string or a monofilament fishing line to take home.
Christine Michael is a member of the Whispering Meadows Garden Club and the chair for the Ohio Association of Garden Clubs Exhibitors and Judges School. She is an accredited flower show judge for OAGC and the North American Gladiolus Council. She is also a Master Gardener. As a flower show designer, she enjoys challenges in learning new designs and sharing these with others.
