HIMA USA Chamber Music Concert

Inspired by its Icelandic sister festival, Harpa International Music Academy (HIMA), HIMA USA is an intergenerational summer music academy that focuses on the study and performance of string solo and chamber music.

HIMA USA will perform a concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14 in Hoover Auditorium.

This concert features an all-star lineup, including Grammy-winning violinist Sibbi Bernhardsson, Cleveland Orchestra principal cellist Mark Kosower, and award-winning pianist Scott Cuellar. Two chamber music favorites will be presented: the Brahms B-major piano trio and the Shostakovich second piano trio.

HIMA USA celebrates the power and joy of collective music-making through high-level classical music instruction and performances.

Serving people of all ages, HIMA USA creates musical experiences that inspire a lifelong musical practice and enhance our appreciation of human connections through music making.

HIMA USA presents summer concerts and educational workshops in Lakeside, Ohio annually.
