Introduction to Fencing (ages 12+)

In this one-day class, participants will be introduced to the history, terminology and foundational techniques of fencing while using actual fencing equipment (non-electric). Class is Monday, July 15 from noon-1:15 p.m. at the Wellness Cener Drackett Hall. Activities will include instruction on how to get into competitive or recreational fencing shape and will focus on the concepts of fighting: distance, timing and execution of more complicated fencing actions. History of fencing, Olympic Fencing and competitive vs. recreational fencing will be discussed.

Pre-registration is required at lakesideohio.com/registration, and the cost is $18/person. Please note that registration does not include admission and parking fees that are required to enter the Lakeside grounds.
