As an extension of the Electric Vehicle Display, join us on Tuesday, Aug. 8 at 10 a.m. in the Fountain Inn Aigler Room to learn about Electric Vehicles.

We are called to be “kind to the planet” and to treat the Earth with reference. There are many possibilities for how to be environmentally friendly, from reducing plastic usage and planting a butterfly garden to installing solar collectors and insulating homes. Each is a personal decision that involves many factors, yet, collectively when we do practice what we choose, we’re making a difference.

One of the many choices that might be considered is an Electric Vehicle (EV) — yes, the new kid on the block. Are they really friendly to the planet?

Together we’ll take a 1-hour journey into EV land and be exposed to some of the basics. The goal is to learn and build on a growing scientific and experiential knowledge base that can assist us with deciding if EVs are a reality for us.

This lecture is an extension of the weekly EV Display at 2 p.m. Tuesdays at Pavilion Circle, organized by the Lakeside Environmental Stewardship Society (LESS) and presented by Phil Savage, Jim Heikes, Frank Baker and other LKSD EV owners.

The event is finished.
