LHS: Marblehead Lighthouse: Shining Brightly for 200 Years

As part of the Lakeside Heritage Society (LHS) Sunday Seminar series, join us on Sunday, July 10 at 1:30 p.m. “Marblehead Lighthouse: Shining Brightly for 200 Years” led by Lighthouse Historical Society President Dennis Kennedy.

The Marblehead Lighthouse, the oldest continuously operated lighthouse on the Great Lakes, has guided sailors since it opened in 1822 at the entrance to Sandusky Bay. Dennis Kennedy will discuss why and how it was constructed, how the tower and light source were modified over time, and how it continues to serve modern day sailors as Marblehead Peninsula celebrates the bicentennial of the Lighthouse.

The event is finished.
